Webinar: Crime & Policing Act – Your Questions Answered

The Crime and Policing Act 2026 introduces some of the most significant changes to anti-social behaviour powers in over a decade.

However, as practitioners begin to prepare for implementation, many questions remain about how the new powers will operate in practice and what they mean for organisations tackling ASB.

As part of ASB Awareness Week, join Janine Green, Partner at G&B ASB Associates, and Lindsay Felstead, Partner at Clarke Willmott Solicitors, for a free, practical webinar exploring the questions practitioners are asking most frequently about the new legislation.

Drawing on questions submitted by practitioners from across the housing, policing and community safety sectors, Janine and Lindsay will debate and discuss topics including:

  • When will the new powers come into force?
  • Can registered providers of social housing only use Closure Notices, or can they also apply for Closure Orders?
  • What is the maximum duration of a Closure Order?
  • Which court are Respect Orders applied for in?
  • Are Housing Injunctions only available to social landlords?
  • Can demoted tenancies still be used?
  • Will the statutory guidance be updated?

Alongside answering these questions, Janine and Lindsay will discuss the practical implications of the Act and what organisations should be doing now to prepare for implementation.

Whether you work in housing, policing, community safety or victim support, this session will provide an opportunity to hear expert views, gain clarity on the legislation and ask your own questions.
