Janine Green ASB Chats……….Cuckooing

A cuckoo takes over the nest of other birds – cuckooing is a term coined to describe the situation when a resident’s home is taken over by others, wishing to utilise the property for criminal activities. This behaviour often creates nuisance and fear for others living in the community.

What results is a challenging community safety issue, with multiple victims, requiring a true partnership response.

In this episode, Janine is joined by Jo Grimshaw, Head of ASB and Partnerships at Surrey Police, who is leading the way in tackling these problems quickly and effectively. Jo will share her observations of the issue, as well as some best practice tips and guidance on how best to manage cases like these.

A must listen for all community safety partners.
