Celebrating One Year Of The G&BASB Associates Partnership!
This week marks one year since G&B ASB Associates was formed, and we couldn’t let the moment pass without a big thank you to everyone who’s worked with us, supported us, and helped shape what we’ve built together.
When we launched, our goal was simple: to create a partnership rooted in shared values, practical solutions, and real-world impact. A year on, we’ve been blown away by the connections made, ideas shared, and the collective passion for improving ASB responses across housing, policing, and community safety.
Just a few of the milestones we’ve celebrated in our first year:
- Our first in-person #ASB10 Conference, welcoming over 130 professionals from across the UK for a packed day of learning and discussion.
- Fringe events and roundtables, giving a platform to frontline voices and opening up space for honest, practical conversations.
- The launch of the ASB Knowledge Hub, offering accessible, on-demand training and tools for practitioners.
- Free webinars on some of the most pressing issues – from prescription cannabis and neurodiversity, to evolving legislation and policy.
- Collaboration at the heart, working alongside brilliant speakers, contributors, and sector partners to keep our work relevant and informed.
We’re proud of the impact so far – and even more excited about what’s coming next.
We want to give a huge thank you to our associates and support team – without which, none of this would have been possible. We have an incredible group of people that all bring a unique perspective to the business – and we are looking forward to bringing more of that to support your organisations in the coming year.

Article Focus: What Partnership Working Really Looks Like
As we mark one year of G&B ASB Associates, it feels fitting to revisit one of the themes at the heart of everything we do: partnership.
In this article, Janine Green explores the real meaning of partnership working — beyond the buzzwords and into the day-to-day realities for ASB professionals. From mismatched expectations and siloed working, to missed opportunities for collaborative problem-solving, it’s a call to think differently about how we lead and engage with others.
“True partnership working is about more than meetings and memos. It’s about clarity, accountability, and having the confidence to challenge constructively when things aren’t working.”
If your work involves multi-agency forums, joint case management, or strategic ASB groups, this one’s for you.

This Week’s Top Tip– Managing Stressful Cases
As our Stress Awareness Month series comes to an end, this week’s guidance comes from associate Rochelle Largan:
“A tip would be … not to try and do everything yourself in isolation, and in doing so, make sure you have space to offload yourself. Cases that are very challenging can affect us without even realising, so it’s important to talk about it with someone else such as a colleague, just to ensure you are not missing anything or letting your emotions or subconscious get the better of you, even if it’s just to offload. Those involved in cases will often be frustrated, and they may take this out on you… So, try not to take anything to heart, listen and when you can, talk to someone else about it to offload and gather second opinions.”

Regulatory Round Up
There were two important updates this week for ASB and housing professionals:
- The Housing Ombudsman launched its Four Tests of Good Communication guidance – an important reminder of the standards expected in resident communications, particularly around ASB issues. Read more about that here.
- The Liberal Democrats announced a proposal for a ‘Bus Bill of Rights’ to tackle anti-social behaviour and safety concerns on public transport. Read the article published by the BBC here.
Janine & Darren’s Weekly Round Up
As we approach the early May bank holiday, we are so proud to be celebrating our milestone – one year of G&B ASB Associates.
It’s been a fast-paced and rewarding 12 months. From launching our first in-person conference and delivering fringe events at national housing summits, to growing our training offer and creating practical tools for the sector, the focus has always been the same: supporting ASB professionals with what they need to deliver real impact.
This week we’ve been reflecting on just how far things have come, and, more importantly, what comes next. Planning is well underway for the 2025 conference, we’re working behind the scenes on a new fringe session for the Housing Community Summit and lots of other exciting collaborations which will develop across the year.
Thanks for being part of it. Whether you’ve worked with us on a case study, taken part in training, joined a webinar or simply opened these emails – your input shapes everything we do.
We know many of you are also deep into planning and service improvements ahead of the summer, not to mention managing a packed caseload. As always, we’re here to help share knowledge, ideas, and support whenever needed. Do reach out to us via email if we can support your organisation – either janine@greenandburtonasb.co.uk or darren@greenandburtonasb.co.uk.
Next week we have another short week – which will hopefully a chance for everyone to catch their breath before what’s sure to be a very active May.
Take care and speak soon,
Janine & Darren
