ASB Case Management: New Webinar Recording and Top Tip
Our latest webinar hosted last week – Review – Recommend – Deliver – brought together partner Darren Burton and guest expert Jon Bull for a grounded, insightful conversation about what really makes a difference in ASB case management.
Reflecting on recent case reviews, the session highlights the gap between making recommendations and actually delivering on them. From missed referrals and low engagement to trauma-informed approaches and diary sheet fatigue, the conversation explores the real barriers that get in the way of progress.
This is a must-watch for professionals managing ASB cases who want both strategic insight and practical tools to strengthen their response.

This Week’s Top Tip: Are Your Action Plans Actually Deliverable?
One takeaway stood out: the importance of turning talk into action.
Too often, recommendations are made but never implemented. Agencies are absent, residents are left in the dark, and accountability gets lost.
Here’s the advice from Darren and Jon:
“If it’s verbal, it’s not really actioned.”
To improve delivery:
- Write down every agreed action, including informal ones
- Assign clear ownership and realistic timeframes
- Follow up regularly
- Check that the plan still reflects the resident’s current needs
A clear, person-centred action plan is more than a paper trail. It builds trust. When someone has experienced persistent ASB, they need to see things moving – not another round of meetings and promises.
Weekly Round-Up with Janine & Darren
Behind the scenes, momentum is building.
We’ve had some brilliant conversations this week around the direction of the #ASB11 Conference, and things are really starting to take shape. From new speaker confirmations to some genuinely useful additions to the goodie bags, the focus remains on keeping things practical, relevant and rooted in what matters to you.
It’s also been great to share another instalment of the ASB Careers Series – this time with Jack Madge, who many of you will know as one of our associates. His reflections have already sparked some meaningful responses, and we’re looking forward to hearing more voices in the series over the coming months. If you would like to be featured in our series and bring your unique perspective on ASB careers then please reach out to us as we are keen to represent as many different roles and viewpoints as we can to create a helpful resource for the sector.
Last week’s webinar with Darren and Jon has been another highlight. It’s clear that conversations about case management, accountability and follow-through are resonating. Seeing so many of you take these discussions back to your teams shows just how committed this sector is to getting things right.
And finally, if you’re planning to be in Liverpool for the Community Housing Summit, don’t forget to register for our fringe event. The guest list is growing, and we’d love to see you there!
Have a great week,
Janine and Darren
