Our London Round Table Event With RESPECT
Last week, Green & Burton ASB Associates and JUSTICE hosted a roundtable in London to explore the Crime and Policing Bill 2025 and what it means for tackling ASB. A huge thank you to Jo Grimshaw and Rochelle Largan for stepping in to facilitate the session, ensuring a productive and insightful discussion.
The session brought together a wide range of practitioners, all with different perspectives but a shared commitment to strengthening responses to ASB and supporting those affected.
Where do we go from here?
- A full summary of the discussions and key recommendations is being prepared
- An e-survey will be launched to gather further insights from ASB professionals
- Findings from both the roundtable and the survey will inform a formal written submission to Government
We will be sharing a special edition update with details of the survey soon. Your input will be invaluable in shaping the conversation, and we look forward to hearing your views so watch this space.

This Weeks Top Tip - Every Interaction Matters in ASB Casework
As part of No More Week, raising awareness of domestic abuse, this week’s top tip comes from Dr Kelly Henderson CIHCM, Founder & Managing Director at Addressing Domestic Abuse C.I.C. highlighting the crucial link between how we approach ASB cases and opportunities to uncover hidden domestic abuse.
Kelly’s tip:
“I think the top tip would be to consider how we interact with a person – it can make the difference to them disclosing domestic abuse…
Every interaction we have can make a real difference, and we should always be mindful of that. We should think about what we would want if it was our friend or loved one.”
For ASB practitioners, this is such an important reminder. What starts as a noise complaint or neighbour dispute might actually be a window into someone’s experience of coercive control or abuse.
Taking the time to listen, asking the right questions, and approaching cases with curiosity and compassion could make all the difference.”
If your organisation needs support in reviewing or developing domestic abuse policies and procedures, then Kelly’s organisation is best placed to help you. She can provide tailored guidance to ensure your approach meets best practice standards and delivers the best outcomes for victims and communities. Visit her website here.
Janine & Darren’s Weekly Round Up
Another packed week at Green & Burton ASB Associates, with discussions on the Crime and Policing Bill 2025 continuing to gather momentum. Our London roundtable with JUSTICE was an important opportunity to bring together a range of practitioner perspectives, highlighting the real-world challenges of ASB casework and the need for any legislative changes to be practical and effective. We’ll be capturing wider sector views through an e-survey, so keep an eye out for your chance to contribute.
This week, we’re also shining a light on professional development with a focus on our E-Learning Bundles. We know how difficult it can be to find time for training alongside a demanding workload, which is why we’ve created flexible, on-demand courses covering key ASB skills – from investigations and triaging reports to managing case reviews and developing essential soft skills. If you’re looking for a convenient way to upskill, these bundles could be the perfect solution.
As always, we’d love to hear your thoughts on any of this week’s updates – whether it’s your take on the latest policy changes, the challenges you’re facing in ASB casework, or the areas where you’d like more training and support. Get in touch too if you have a case study you would like to submit to us for a feature – we are really keen to collaborate and share relevant cases that we can all learn from.
Have a great week,
Janine & Darren
