My Support Space, a free online service from Victim Support, is an excellent tool for helping individuals manage the impact of crime, and we thought it would be useful to highlight their services to you as a practical part of your toolkit.
My Support Space provides a range of interactive guides that users can complete at their own pace. These guides include videos, activities, and tips designed to help individuals understand and cope with their feelings after experiencing a crime. This resource is not only for those directly affected by crime but also for friends, family members, colleagues, and neighbours who are supporting someone through a difficult time.
For individuals aged 16 and over, My Support Space is particularly helpful for those experiencing a low to moderate impact from crime. For more severe cases, it should be used alongside support from a Victim Support caseworker. You can encourage your clients to visit the My Support Space website to register and start benefiting from this resource. It’s available whether or not the crime has been reported to the police.
