Free Webinar – ASB and Neurodiversity

It is estimated that around 1 in 7 people are neurodivergent (more than 15% of people in the UK).

This means that it is highly likely that we will manage ASB cases where a party identifies as being neurodivergent.

Our traditional ASB case management processes may not always be accessible or inclusive for those of us whose brains work in a “non-typical” manner.

It’s vitally important we have an awareness of the types of behaviours that may present in neurodivergent ASB victims, and how we can best adjust our processes as a result.

This session – aimed at all practitioners who work in ASB – will aim to raise awareness, as well as providing practical ways in which we can make processes more inclusive.

Our partner, Janine, received a later in life ADHD diagnosis back in 2022. Completely left-field, it has led to a period of learning and understanding. This has culminated in her reflecting on case management processes and how these may need to be adjusted to accommodate different needs.

For this hour long session, Janine will share some of her reflections and ideas for how we can ensure we are best working with victims of ASB who may be neurodivergent.

Joining Janine will be guest speakers, some with lived experience, who will be sharing their own insights, including changes that have been made to local ASB processes to better support all ASB victims who identify as neurodivergent.
